Wujie Li was born in Jiaozuo City China in1969. His love of painting started at the age of 7 with paintings of the mountain landscape around his home. At the age of 12 Mr. Li stared to paint seriously in his chosen medium of oil. He spent his youth in museums copying paintings of Leonardo Da Vinci, Rubens, Raphaello, Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Delacroix and respected Chinese artists. In 1988, he graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Jiaozuo City Normal School and continued his extensive education, entering the Central Academy of Fine Art, Beijing in1989, the most respected Art School in China. His ability to meld east and west in his exuberant oils, while maintaining his Asian roots, is extraordinary. Mr. Li has a faithful international audience who continue to enthusiastically follow and support his professional career. His work has been acquired by numerous private and corporate collectors in The United States, Holland, France, Luxemburg, England, Canada, China and Japan. Mr. Li is a member of the Oil Painters Guild of China and the National Artist's Guild.
